Uganda offers a mix of wildlife parks, lakes, forests, cultural stops and scenic highlands. Best self-drive routes

Good starter routes include Entebbe–Kampala–Jinja, Kampala–Lake Mburo, Kampala–Fort Portal–Kibale, and Kampala–Queen Elizabeth. More advanced routes include Bwindi, Kidepo and Uganda–Rwanda cross-border circuits. For Bwindi, confirm which sector you are visiting because Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo have different access routes.

Vehicle recommendation
